Problem-Solving Workshops

SPIA DC office space, rooftop area with people sitting and talking

Princeton Problem-Solving Workshops in Law and Policy, held at SPIA in D.C., bring together small, high-level interdisciplinary groups of thinkers in an off-the-record workshop aimed at learning about, defining, and crafting solutions to complex and pressing questions in law and public policy. Participants include a bipartisan selection of academic experts, practitioners with relevant technical expertise, and current decision makers with insight into avenues for change.

The workshops offer space for rigorous discussion of important issues that begins with a genuinely posed policy question, and ends by identifying a lawful and effective policy solution. This non-partisan series is designed to establish a forum for frank dialogue, connect unfamiliar bedfellows, and help inform policy-makers and practitioners engaged in real-time debates about the benefits and burdens of competing options.
